To hear that it's nothing bad isn't as comforting as Izuku probably means it to be - being in the kind of situation where he has to have a serious talk with someone, especially someone like Izuku, someone he has that kind of complicated relationship with, the conversation is going to be hard for him whether it's something bad or good.
